OVERVIEW OF CARE GIVEN

ONE-ON-ONE ATTENTION

I believe individual attention given to each and every pet is of the upmost importance. I chose not design the building with outdoor/indoor runs for a reason. I considered what would be best for your pets not what would be easier for my staff and me. Because we have to physically take everyone outside, your pets get love and attention each time they go outside. We get in their kennels and rooms with them and give them massages and love on them. We have a large hallway which we use for inside play time as well.

CLEANLINESS

I also chose not to design the kennels with drains in the kennel floors. Again, I chose what I felt was best for your babies not what was easier for us. We use two cleaners/disinfectants made specifically for kennels. We completely clean a kennel from top to bottom with one cleaner and then repeat the entire process with the other each time a pet goes home. During their stay, each area and kennel is also cleaned a minimum of twice daily.

OUTSIDE TIME

The dogs average going out every two hours. Because of the extended hours we are here, they go out five times a day and again in the evening. We have three yards. There is always a person in each yard when the dogs are outside.

OBSERVATION OF YOUR PET

We monitor all things regarding your pet. We check their poop and watch them when they urinate. You can discover many things by this. Some are medical and some are not. I think birthday candles in the poop is one of the strangest things we have found. As hard as it is to believe, they weren't even broken.

We make sure they are eating. If they are not, we have several things we do to encourage them to eat.

We keep a close watch on their demeanor. If they seem like they are not doing well in one area, we will move them to another. We keep kennels in one of the hallways for that reason. Sometimes if a dog is not doing well if you put them in a hallway kennel, they will calm down. It is our job to figure out what will make them happy.

TOURS

We want our humans to feel comfortable about our facility and us. We gladly take people on tours to see where their babies will be staying. We will show you're the yards they will play in. Please ask us any questions you may have or discuss any concerns you may have. Come by when it is convenient for you, and we will make it convenient for us. You do not need to make an appointment for a tour.

REMEMBER - AT ELPP, IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR PET.
